Associate Programme Officer, International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)

Abdullah Abou Ali is an energy professional with over eight years of experience in the sector, specialising in renewable energy and global energy transition. He currently serves as an Associate Programme Officer at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), where he leads communication, engagement, and partnerships across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. At IRENA, Abdullah contributed to more than 30 flagship publications on renewables, energy transition, and climate change, shaping international dialogue and knowledge-sharing in the field. He holds an MBA with distinction in Project Management from the Swiss Business School in Zurich, as well as a B.Sc. in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Sharjah.
