Sustainability Director, Bureau Veritas

Ahmed Samir Elbermbali is a sustainability and clean energy expert, currently serving as Sustainability Director for the Middle East, Caspian, and Africa Region at Bureau Veritas. He advises clients across the region on achieving their net-zero targets and has a strong background in clean energy and sustainable mobility. He previously served as the Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV) Lead at the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions, where he promoted the ZEV Declaration at COP26 and helped launch the Accelerating to Zero (A2Z) Coalition. Ahmed was also Managing Director of the MENA Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC), a non-profit organisation promoting clean technologies across the region. He has collaborated with key players such as CharIN and the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). Ahmed holds an MBA in Sustainable Mobility Management from the Technical University of Berlin and a bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, Zewail City.
