Amadou Lamine Fall is a senior climate finance expert with over 15 years of experience advancing sustainable development and mobilising investment for green, bankable projects across Africa. He leads climate-smart investment and ESG strategies at Senegal’s sovereign investment fund, supporting project development in sectors such as water, energy, agrobusiness, infrastructure, and transport, while promoting innovative financial instruments aligned with climate and development goals. Amadou has advised governments, financial institutions, and project developers on designing climate-aligned investment opportunities, including concept notes and proposals to access climate finance and blended funding mechanisms. His expertise extends to carbon market strategies and the operationalisation of Article 6 under the Paris Agreement. He is the lead author of French-language MOOC modules on climate and biodiversity finance, enhancing institutional capacity across Francophone Africa. Amadou holds a Master’s in International Financial Management from NEOMA Business School, a Bachelor’s in Finance, Banking and Insurance from ISM Dakar, and certifications in renewable energy and climate finance from Frankfurt School–UNEP and international corporate finance from HEC Paris. He is fluent in French, English, and Wolof.
