Dr. Imad has structured $900M of investments into award-winning African PPPs, including renewable and thermal power projects backed by multiple Development Finance Institutions (DFIs). He contributed to Rwanda’s PPP law and helped embed climate considerations into public investments in Ghana, supporting the development of a green taxonomy. He played a key role in supporting Kenya’s Presidency in delivering the Africa Climate Summit 2023 and its COP29 Chairing of the Africa Group. Dr. Imad has published a book on building a financially sustainable, equitable, and climate-resilient energy system in Zambia with Springer, alongside journal articles on accelerating the adoption of improved cookstoves and designing gender-sensitive recovery strategies. He serves on several liberal political parties, climate, and education boards and advisory councils.
