Programme Management Officer for Strategy and Climate Change, UNHABITAT Regional Office for Africa

Jane is a Programme Management Officer in the Regional Office for Africa at UNHABITAT leading on strategy and climate change. Prior to joining, Jane was the Africa Director for the UN Climate Change High-level Champions for COP 28 and COP 29 overseeing non-state actor climate action in the region. She led the Africa team in providing strategic leadership on real economy climate action in the continent, shaping the narrative of sustainable development, green growth and climate action. She oversaw workstreams on energy transitions, climate finance, resilient cities, as well as nature and food systems. She was also a Manager of Global Sectors and Government at KPMG International where she developed a cities and climate change strategy for the advisory practice. Jane was the West and East Africa Advisor for the Commonwealth Local Government Forum. Jane also serves as an expert on the Climate Change and Energy Committee at the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
