Mustafa Ansari is a Development Coordination Officer and Economist with the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Kuwait. With over a decade of experience in economics, sustainable energy, and development, he specialises in policy analysis, climate finance, and partnership building to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the UN, he leads macroeconomic and SDG analysis, facilitates national and regional partnerships, and supports institutional reforms aimed at inclusive and low-carbon growth. Previously, Mustafa held senior roles at ESCWA and The Arab Energy Fund (TAEF), where he helped develop regional energy transition strategies, led climate resilience initiatives, and worked with public and private stakeholders to align policies with sustainability targets. His earlier work with the UK government focused on energy efficiency, industrial decarbonisation, and international energy markets. Mustafa is a frequent contributor to regional and global forums, with research and commentary featured by Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, and the Wall Street Journal.
