Polina Liubomirova is a prominent energy leader with diverse experience across the sector’s value chain. As Director of Business Development at ACWA Power, she leads strategic growth initiatives in Azerbaijan and fosters key government-to-government collaborations across Central Asia and the Middle East. Polina began her career at Royal Dutch Shell, where she worked in global deal structuring at Shell Trading’s Origination & Investments unit and helped develop cross-sector partnerships and innovative business models leveraging digital technologies. She later transitioned to Shell’s Renewables & Energy Solutions division focusing on offshore wind, and subsequently joined Masdar, leading business development and origination for multi-gigawatt hybrid energy projects globally. Polina is committed to transforming the energy industry through long-term, mutual value creation and expanding energy portfolios with novel business models.
