Shada El-Sharif

Founder and Senior Advisor, SustainMENA

Shada El-Sharif is the Founder & Senior Advisor at SustainMENA, an awareness-raising and advisory organization focused on the green economy, clean technology, climate change and sustainability, within Jordan, MENA and beyond. With expertise in Green Economy and Climate, she also serves as the Green Economy Policy Expert to the GIZ-implemented Green Action in Enterprises (GAIN) Project. Shada has contributed to the formulation of Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision (EMV), with a focus on the ‘Green Economy’ and ‘Sustainable Resources’ growth drivers. She has held leadership positions and senior advisory roles in public, private, and international organizations. She is a mentor for green entrepreneurs across the region, and is considered a thought leader on the green economic transition in Jordan and the region, writing and speaking on these issues in national and international platforms. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from the Harvard Kennedy School, and MEng & BS degrees in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University.
