Business Development Director for Central Asia, SUEZ

Umid Akbarov is the Business Development Director for Central Asia at SUEZ, leading strategic growth and stakeholder engagement across the region since 2024. He focuses on developing partnerships with governments and advancing infrastructure projects in water, energy, and environmental sectors. With over 20 years of experience, Umid has worked in international business development, investment facilitation, and intergovernmental cooperation across Uzbekistan, Japan, and Europe. He has supported foreign companies entering the Central Asian market, advised on investment initiatives, and negotiated with private and institutional investors worldwide. Umid holds a Bachelor of Law from Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, and studied international economic relations at the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies. He is fluent in Uzbek, Russian, English, and Japanese.
